David “Dallas” Holmes was a warrior, a fighter pilot who beat the odds by successfully transitioning from the government to Wall Street in New York at the age of 44. After departing from a Swiss investment bank in 2007, he founded Cavender Park Consulting, LLC. to focus upon strategy consulting to corporations and wealthy families. His company also teaches leadership skills, business development processes, and interview techniques to MBA students, ex-military veterans and to other professionals who are changing careers.

He was a Managing Director/Regional Director at preeminent global banks and wealth management firms in New York, Dallas, and San Francisco including JPMorgan & Company, the Bessemer Group, the Bank of New York, and Credit Suisse. A line business manager and leader, he engaged heavily in the recruiting, hiring, and managing of candidates and new hires from industry and top-tier schools of business.

Mr. Holmes was educated at the University of Texas at Austin, Southern Methodist University, the University of Oklahoma, and Harvard University. He attended the Executive Program in International Business at Columbia University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, and held numerous NASD securities licenses. In 2003 he was named by Worth magazine as one of the Top 100 financial advisors in the USA.

Mr. Holmes appreciates other cultures having lived or spent considerable time in Germany, Japan, England, Turkey, Iran, Italy, and Spain. He is a graduate of the Defense Language Institute in Japanese, was a US Air Force pilot, holds many military awards and decorations and graduated from numerous other government and financial industry special programs. Mr. Holmes left military service following a final four-year tour at the US Embassy in Tokyo and after his selection to colonel. He thrives on jazz, the combative arts, military history, flying fast, and good literature.
